Eli: The Only Black Man Left

Just saw The Book of Eli. A movie that is more introspective than it is adventurous. To make a long story short, Eli, played by Denzel Washington, has to protect the bible, from a bogus ass would be evangelical who would like to use the bible as a weapon to gain control of the people’s hearts. We all know Denzel is a one-trick Pony when it comes to acting, but he does that trick very well all the time. This movie is a bit sluggish at times, although the end payoff may be worth it. There is a cool silhouette fighting scene. This joint definitely gets a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
